Shira has produced a combination of solo projects through SheRockScience and with a production team (IQ Solutions). On this page are highlights from client work and SheRockScience.


Client Work

With IQ Solutions, Shira has served as the script writer, interviewer, and co-director. She also functioned as a subject matter expert for some of the projects.

Healthy Brain Child Development (HBCD)

The HBCD study is a long-term study, looking at the development of the brain. It includes 27 sites across America and will enroll over 7,000 participants. We have growth charts, learning charts, and other ways of looking at child development, but we do not understand the brain. National Institute of Dental Cranial Research (NIDCR) (published 2023-2024)

With NIDCR, we created a series of videos that highlighted their research. We also created a video that shares stories of people who have been funded by NIDCR and how it impacted them and their careers.

HEAL is Hope describes the initiative and its goals.

The video won the 2023 Hermes Design Platinum Award.

Federal COVID Response (published 2021)

The COVID-19 pandemic hit and we knew so little. We developed a number of materials to help people, such as: website content, infographics, and videos.

Monoclonal Antibody Therapy for COVID-19: What Is It and How Does It Work?

This video explains what monoclonal antibodies are, why they are important to take, and who should take them. It was also created with a Spanish version.  The  video has won several awards:

  • Hermes Design Platinum Award 2022
  • Digital Health Information Award 2022
  • MarCom Platinum Award 2021

SheRockScience Productions

Clean Air Clean Water are important for all of our survival. This storybook animation is a plea from ocean animals to make a difference and keep the planet clean.

“Neural Chromatography: BioDye Tattoo” is a Sci-fi film created based on recent research about tattoos that change color based on the body’s current chemistry. Early work from researchers at MIT identify this technology could be possible but is not ready for animal trials yet. This video extrapolates how the world could look 100 years in the future.
